On October 6, 2013, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church held its Pastor Election. Through many Prayers and the Lord's direction we are happy to announce Brother Jimmy Claiborne as our new Pastor. Meet Our New Pastor Brother Jimmy Claiborne was born and raised in Macon County and grew up attending Maple Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church with his parents Ann and the late Earl Claiborne. He was saved at home in bed on a Tuesday night in 1974 following revival services there. Four years later he united with the church and was baptized by Elder Carthell Johnson. Jimmy Graduated from Macon County High School in 1980 and Tennessee Tech University in 1984. In 1985 he married Lisa Hackett (Joyce and the late Rex Hackett). They made their home in Amos Kentucky and continue to live there today. He moved his church membership to New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in KY and it was during a revival services there in 1998 he told of being called to preach two years earlier in 1996 while at home in the recliner. He was led by the Lord to unite with Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church in 2005 where he was ordained to the full work of the ministry that same year. In 2007 he humbly answered the call to pastor Days Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church. He fulfilled these duties until September 2013. After much prayer and leadership from the Lord he accepted the call to pastor Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on October 6, 2013. Jimmy and Lisa have two sons and one daughter-in-law. Spenser (Kathryn) married in June 2013 and moved to Waynesburg KY. He is attending the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Jared lives at home and is a Civil Engineering Major at Western Kentucky University. Both Spenser and Jared were baptized by their dad in 2010 into Days Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church where they still hold their membership.
